How to set up your Carmen

1. Connect the Carmen to your computer with the included USB cable.
2. Start the Carmen application: Double-click on the Carmen application on the computer.
   1. PC: Click on “Carmen.exe”
   2. MAC: Click on “Carmen.app”
   3. NOTE: DO NOT MOVE OR COPY THE APPLICATION TO YOUR COMPUTER. The application only runs from the folder within the Carmen device.
3. Start recording: Browse more than 45,000 stations from around the world by genre, language, location or keyword. Recordings are saved automatically on the Carmen.
4. Take Carmen for a spin: Insert the Carmen into your vehicle’s 12-volt adapter. Connect to your radio via the Carmen’s FM transmitter (or the included AUX cable) and enjoy!

WARNING: BEFORE removing the Carmen from your computer, please quit the software and then safely eject the Carmen.

Need help with your Carmen?

Here are some general guidelines for use with the Carmen to ensure an easier experience:

• Always close the desktop software before ejecting device
• Always, safely eject device from your computer
• You must change tracks to commit changes on the device
• Don’t put your PC to “sleep” when recording. (the Carmen and PC will work it out)
• Do not turn PC off when recording
• Do not shake the Carmen while recording
