Co-Op – Mobile and Embedded Software Engineer for Consumer Electronics & Digital Audio Products

Love electronics? Love Internet Radio and other new digital audio services? Are you in school for software engineering, computer engineering or computer science? and looking for a co-op opportunity?  We’re looking for self-motivated students that want to get hands on experience on coding and testing consumer electronic audio products. We want people that have a strong desire to learn get your hands dirty in code! This is an entry-level job and the sky is the limit on advancement!

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Software Engineering Co-op
    • Work on software and hardware products currently available and in development.
    • Develop innovative solutions to enrich existing products.
    •  Contribute directly to production level code in use by thousands of customers.
    • Work with companies such as Pandora, Rdio, and other Internet Radio providers.
    • Work closely with other engineers and partners on project development.
  • Product Debugging / Testing
    • Tracking and elimination of software bugs through use of the latest iPhone and Android devices.
    • Creating test builds of software to be released to our beta testing community.
    • Responding to customer’s bug reports and developing fixes.

Required Special Skills & Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a four year program in computer science, computer engineering, or similar field
  • Experience in one of the following: C / C++ / Objective-C / JAVA  / .Net
  • Self-directed and require minimal supervision

Preferred Special Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of consumer electronic audio products
  • Keen interest in new technologies and their timely adoption
  • Passionate about software development
  • Experience testing products
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as SVN
  • Knowledge of mobile phone development (iOS, Android, Blackberry)
