Software Engineer

We are looking for a software engineer to join our team.  If you like listening to music all day and building the software systems to enjoy it, then this is the right place for you.

As part of the product development team, you will help decide what features and associated benefits are to be incorporated into our products. You should be looking for an opportunity to wear a lot of hats and to get your hands dirty. Job Description & Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and maintain Smartphone apps and libraries per specs
  2. Develop and maintain web-based services and/or embedded systems
  3. Product enhancement
    1. Evaluate our apps and/or consumer electronic products against competitive products
    2. Find root causes of issues in products and apply fixes accordingly
  4. Assist in daily business operations as necessary

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience handling and manipulating binary data required
  • Experience with an IDE and Debugging tools required
  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Software Engineering required
  • Proficiency in Java & C programming languages required
    • Must be proficient in at least one additional programming/scripting language
  • Must have 1-year corporate programming experience or equivalent outside of college classes
  • Familiarity with Network programming expected
  • Must be a team player that can work in a dynamic environment
  • Must be able to work and solve problems independently

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • Microcontroller experience strongly preferred
  • Linux sysadmin experience strongly preferred
  • Android and/or iPhone experience desired
  • Audio programming experience desired
  • Selling software via the internet or an app store w/ a portfolio for review
  • Experience using open source code and LGPL rules
  • Prior experience with SVN or other code repository desired
